The full set of outcomes:

🛡️

The Fortress Engineer

You build like someone who was raided once and never quite got over it. Walls go up before wallpaper, entrances get funnelled into one defensible line, and there is always a second way out that you have told nobody about. What looks like paranoia to other players is really just planning, and it means your world tends to survive its own worst nights. The cost is that comfort arrives late. Once the perimeter is closed you can afford to be generous, and your base usually becomes the safest place anyone else can run to.

“I build walls first and furniture much, much later.”
🕯️

The Cosy Homesteader

Your first thought is never defence, it is atmosphere. You want a fire going, a window facing the sunrise and a path lit well enough that coming home at night feels like coming home. Function follows warmth, and you will happily spend an hour on a kitchen you do not technically need. That instinct is worth more than it sounds: a base you enjoy being inside is a base you keep improving, and people who visit yours tend to sit down and stay far longer than they meant to.

“My base has a fireplace, a window seat and absolutely no defensive plan.”

The Sprawling Improviser

Your base grew rather than got designed. There was a hole, then a corridor to the hole, then a tower because the view was good, and now the whole thing spreads across the landscape like a small unplanned town. You never suffer from blank-canvas paralysis, because you simply start and let the world argue back. The result is genuinely alive, full of dead ends and strange little rooms with stories attached. Tidier builders find it chaotic. They also find it considerably more interesting than their own.

“My base has no plan, four dead ends and a tower I cannot justify.”
🏛️

The Showpiece Architect

You are building for an audience, even when that audience is only future you. Symmetry matters, material palettes matter, and a wall that works but looks wrong will be torn down twice before you accept it. You think in silhouettes and sightlines, which is why your builds photograph well and why people always ask how you did the roof. The cost is speed: you will still be sourcing the right stone when everyone else has moved in. The payoff is a world that feels authored rather than merely occupied.

“I will demolish a perfectly good wall because the proportions were wrong.”
⛏️

The Hidden Burrower

Down, always down. Given a hillside you are inside it within minutes, and given a mountain you are under it by nightfall. Your homes are carved rather than assembled, which makes them cheap, quiet and very hard to spot from any distance. There is real logic in it: stone you remove is stone you can use, and a doorway nobody notices needs no defending at all. Visitors are usually startled by how large the inside turns out to be once you finally let them through the door.

“You will not find my base, and that is entirely the point.”
